so the other day...

i had a rash develop. i was like, oh sweet ive like never gotten a rash before, this is bad. sooo...i went to the doctor yesterday and they did a bunch of tests...and apparently i have strep throat. now when a rash is accompanied with strep throat, it is called scarlet fever. great. i totally have scarlet fever. wtf. im being treated for it now but im in quarantine. its cool because ill have had almost a week off from work. i need time to recover! so lately all day ive been knitting and playing super mario galaxy. yesterday i made curtains. hopefully ill lose a lot of weight and leave people guessing. probably not. now im watching golden compass AGAIN (its so good!). here are my curtains:

I got the bottom fabric from ikea, sewed up the edges and tacked it over the window. then i installed a curtain rod and sewed those curtains from this $1 fabric at walmart. it was fun and not much work. now im knitting. its fun. 

my roommate just came home. im gonna tell him the good news of my scarlet fever.

I have

learned a lot these past few days. i have learned that drinking a lot causes your liver to hurt. i have learned that boys are a waste of time (duh). I have learned that lonestar makes me sleepy. i have also learned that not having days off from work really makes you hate your job (but i still love it).


These are the joys of summer. The careless days of drinking late into the evening (or early in the morning) and waking up at noon everyday.

He is...

my homeless man. I mostly work the same shift, 1 to 10, and i see this homeless man asking (begging) for change on the side of the road near my apartment. I see him every night. at the same time. its like a date or something. tonight though, he wasnt there. i was worried. but then i realized i went out to eat after work so it was a lil later...maybe he moved to a different street or is an early sleeper? 


Im having a party at my apartment this weekend. i feel that it will be fun, but then i feel that it wont be. i have a feeling  that no one will really show up which is what always happens to me. Ugh. Oh well, no need to be pessimistic about it. 

so i invited some friends over and im still waiting for them to show??? they were on their way an hour ago! i hate being stood up more than anything.

in other news,

work sucked, because i didnt want to be there AND because i havent had a day off in GAWD knows how long.

last night was awkward but then fun when i got home. love my roommate. 

i also love my new computer.

i guess i better get ready for that. fuck....

i always say shit like...oh im gonna blog about this when i get home...but i never do. my entries are not that fun and exciting like they very well could be. i lead an exciting life. i just forget to write about it.

just when i thought

it could all get worse, it got better.


shit has worked out surprisingly well for me. i dont feel like being deep right now. 

i love my new pad. i loooove living here with michael, hes the best roommate ever. plus my room is super comfortable. is it weird that around my desk i have drawings of myself? i like to draw my face. its hard. 

and woodrow wont SHUT THE FUCK UP. he keeps talking. i have provided him with food, water, a place to sleep, and i clean his box. i have no idea what he could POSSIBLY need. so we just took pictures, hopefully that will calm him down.

i moved

to my new home. its finally all set up. i love it. ive always wanted shelves to put all my craft supplies on and i finally did it. looks fabulous. im also on my new 24" imac! its huge and so fast! loves it. 


work sucked so bad today. i hated it. 

good things keep happening to me after my string of shitty things. i am enjoying this. i got the promotion at work that i wanted which is baller. everything is going so well. hopefully this continues.

Fat bitch cat fish

i heard this guy slick say that tonight at chris'. it was funny to me. 


i'm about to watch a movie called amys orgasm. at first i was like oh awesome another softcore porn movie on showtime. then i read the info and saw that its about an author of a feminist self help book and i was like damn im sold. it should be interesting. its also almost 230 am and i will probably not watch more than 30 minutes of it.

so lately ive had to work a lot. short staffed, you know how that is. i should be getting my new imac any day now though. im so excited about it, its going to be so fast. 

oh yeah i never blogged about the kanye west show! it was AMAZING. i have videos which i can upload but im too lazy to at the moment. again, you know how that is.

im moving tomorrow and thursday. im excited about my new roommates. one of them is close friend of mine and the other is his roommate. its going to work out swell i think. 

this weekend was lame except for going to college station for matty js birthday. 

So cute. I love my friends. 

Anyways,

im glad tomorrow im off. i made too many plans though. i hate when i do that. i mostly do it in case someone cancels which ALWAYS HAPPENS. itll be ok.

At 3:45 am...

i just got off work. can you believe that...almost 4 am and im just now coming home from work. so lately ive had this problem where my tail light in my car is out and my registration is expired. im taking care of this tomorrow btDUBS because i will finally have time during the day. anyways, i always get pulled over. tonight was the third time this month. i should be asleep but i just had to blog about this. so he creeps up on me, and pulls me over. our conversation didnt start well when he goes...ma'am your tail light is out. DUH. i know. here is my rendition of the conversation:


Cop: have you been drinking tonight?
Me: no sir
C: why are you out this late
m: i just got off work
c: where do you work
m: apple
c: why are you off this late
m: back of house remodel and visuals
c: do you always drive this late
m: no
c: why havent you taken care of this stuff
m: i havent had time. but you cant write me a ticket because i already have one out...(i hand him the ticket i got 2 weeks ago)
c: (lecturing) youre glad i cant take you to jail tonight
m: ok
c: ill be right back

so the cop leaves briefly and as im looking in my rear view mirror hes searching in my car with his flashlight. then he goes to his car, then comes back.

c: if i see you out here again im going to find a reason to take you to jail
m: sir, i dont appreciate the way youre talking to me. 
c: you need to not be so irresponsible
m: ok
c: just drive safe
m: have a good night!

WHAT A DICK

if you had heard the way this man talked to me, you would be appalled. i didnt think cops could badger you around like that, and i was fully cooperating too. it would have been different if i was on drugs or drunk or something but i was just coming off of work!

whatever.

i get to sleep for 5 hours, go to school, come home, go back to sleep, drink, then go to the kanye west concert!

this weekend

has not been very good. ive worked a lot. like 18 hours in 2 days a lot. but i guess thats not that bad, im just lazy. 


last night i threw a going away party for brad since hes moving to his home town then to seattle, and no one showed up. i had so much liquor and shit, expecting there to be at least like 10 to 15 people, and no one came. it was just brad and i (which is never a bad thing) and we ended up just playing wii all night. then i picked up chris. then brad left. that was a tough goodbye for me...even though he promised to be back. we'll see. generally people say theyll keep in touch and come and visit and still call and text or whatever, but it never really happens.

im in a pessimistic mood tonight.

i could have gone to a party that my coworker invited me to, but i declined.

i havent felt like partying much. ive just got too much on my mind. and i dont feel as social. tomorrow im going to buy new clothes though, so maybe that will force me to be. 

yesterday was my last day of classes, next week is finals and im not worried about that. i just want it to be over! although, i do have to take summer school...but this will be my last year of schooling THANKFULLY. im so ready for it to be over and for me to have a degree!

i might have picked up a side job at a magazine designing the layouts. i really hope i get it because i need more editorial design background for my resume. plus its paid and it will be fun. i need the extra pay too because it looks like i might not get the promotion at work like ive been hoping to get. i ended up crying about to it my manager today (yes, actually crying...bad) and that probably pushed me back. men in power dont like to see female signs of weakness. i dont see it as weakness, but the sexist society we live in does unfortunately.

tonight was boring because ive been sitting at home. i was supposed to go out but michael never picked up his phone. all my friends are in college station and i couldnt go because i have to work. boo.

im watching grindhouse right now and i had forgotten that death proof was filmed and set in austin. its kind of boring. planet terror was cool because it was gory as fuck. and i like zombie type films. 

im glad i didnt get wasted tonight. got a lot of design work done. i have feeling ill be more productive when i move. this environment doesnt allow me to be badass. i hate living here. but that will change in 2 weeks. plus im getting my new imac and scanner so i can start sharing my artwork and having a better design workspace. im also excited about moving because it means new furniture. michael gets a badass discount so im definitely hitting that up. 

sunday night is qua night with my coworkers. shits gonna get real. free drinks. all. night. long. apple has its benefits for sure. 

i wish my life was more interesting...
